Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
Sihi Studio is a small Bengaluru cake studio. We make 90 cakes a month, a Fruit Cake and a Plum Cake, and sell them directly from this website. These terms explain, in plain English, how that works and what you can expect from us.
1. How ordering works
- Each month we open a batch of 90 cakes. While the batch is open, anyone signed in with a verified email address can order.
- There is no queue and no waiting for a turn. You choose your cakes and sizes, tell us your Bengaluru pincode, pick a delivery day from the calendar, and pay.
- One order can hold different cakes with different sizes and options. Whatever you order arrives together, on the one delivery day you chose.
- Alongside the cakes we sell treats: cookies, murukku and nippattu. They take no space in the day’s three-cake baking limit, so you can add them to any order. You can also order treats on their own, above a small minimum shown at checkout, and they arrive on a delivery day you choose in the same way a cake would.
- We bake up to three cakes a day, so the calendar only offers days that still have room. A day that fills up stops being offered.
- Same-day delivery depends on the delivery time you pick: every time slot needs at least three hours’ notice to bake, so same-day is possible only while a slot that far out is still open. Once none are, the earliest day we can offer is tomorrow.
- There is no bidding of any kind. Every cake has a fixed, published price (₹750–₹2,700 depending on cake and size), the same for everyone, always.
2. Holds, payment, and confirmation
- Choosing a delivery day places a temporary hold on that day and those cakes for approximately 10 minutes while you pay.
- Your order is confirmed only after your payment succeeds. Until then, nothing is final and you have not been charged by us.
- If payment fails or the hold expires, your cakes and delivery day are released automatically for the next person. You are not charged for a failed or abandoned payment, and any gift-card value you had applied goes back onto the card.
- If a delivery day somehow fills up between your payment starting and finishing, we refund you in full rather than deliver late.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay (UPI, card, or netbanking). We never see or store your card details.
3. Delivery
- We deliver by hand, within serviceable Bengaluru pincodes only. If your pincode isn’t serviceable yet, you can leave your details and we’ll tell you when it is.
- Each day has room for three cakes in total, across everyone. Once a day is full, it is off the calendar for everyone else.
4. Gift cards
- A gift card is money paid to us in advance, held against future orders. It can be spent only at Sihi Studio, in as many goes as it takes, until the balance runs out.
- Cards are sold between ₹500 and ₹5,000 and stay spendable for 365 days from the day they are bought.
- Our payment provider cannot process a ₹0 charge, so a gift card leaves at least ₹1 to pay on any order. That is a limit of theirs, not a fee of ours.
- We do not exchange gift cards for cash. A card belongs to whoever holds the code, so please treat it like cash: we cannot replace a code that has been shared or lost.
- If an order paid for partly with a gift card is cancelled or refunded, that value returns to the card.
5. Discount codes and referrals
- Discount codes are single use unless we say otherwise, cannot be combined with another code on the same order, and have no cash value.
- A code issued to a particular customer can be used only by that customer.
- If you refer a friend, they get their reward when they sign up with your code, and you get yours once their first order is paid for.
- We may withdraw a code, or decline to honour one, where it has been obtained or used abusively (for example, accounts created only to farm referral rewards).
6. Cancellations
You may cancel a confirmed order up to 48 hours before your delivery day for a full refund to your original payment method. After that, the cake is already being made for you and we can no longer cancel it. The same window and the same refund apply to treats, whether they came with a cake or on their own. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details and timelines.
7. If we cannot deliver on the day
Delivery is included in every price. Sometimes we come to the address you gave us and cannot hand the cake over, because nobody answers, or the address turns out to be wrong, or you ask us to come another day. Your cake is safe with us and we will bring it again.
A second trip is charged. We email you a payment link for it before we set the new day. The amount depends on the distance and the time that trip takes, so we do not print one figure here, but it will never be more than ₹1,000, and it is never added to your original order or taken from a card on file. The first delivery attempt is always included in what you have already paid.
8. About alcohol
With-spirit variants are clearly labelled on the storefront, at checkout, on your confirmation, and on the cake’s packaging.
9. Allergies and our kitchen
We bake in a home kitchen that also handles wheat, nuts, egg, dairy and dried-fruit sulphites. Options such as gluten-free mean the recipe is made without that ingredient; they are never a promise of zero traces. If you have a serious allergy, please message us before ordering.
10. Fair use
90 cakes a month is a real limit, so we may cancel orders placed abusively (for example, automated ordering, or many accounts held by one person to take more than their share), with any captured payment refunded in full.
